The Business

Sammy&#8217’s Family Entertainment Center is home to a miniature golf course, which acts as the first anchor for any other attractions. Family Entertainment has seen a rapid growth in recent years. This is due in part to a national trend of returning to family values. The first profit centers will include the mini golf course, video arcade and climbing wall as well as food service.



There are 150,000 people living within a 15-mile radius of the Firefly County site. One of the interesting facts about the miniature golf business is the breadth of the customer base. Families with kids can act as an anchor. However, seniors and teens are key customers that add significant income. The business is profitable throughout the season thanks to a variety of promotions. Our marketing plan is inspired by other successful plans in our industry. We will however add to it as we build the business. Mulligan Bogey Leisure Builders’ marketing plan includes completion of the golf course. This plan contains input from more 200 course owners.





Michelle and John Putteer both have extensive experience in financial management, personnel management and small business ownership. The miniature golf course operates with only one person during the day and two or three people during peak hours. Management is easy because of the low staff requirement. This helps to keep employee costs down.

Financial

Miniature golf courses are low in inventory and operate at a low cost, allowing owners to make early profits. The business should be profitable within the first year if it is based on conservatively calculated sales projections.



Investment Goals

Sammy&#8217s will open with an initial investment made by John and Michelle Putteer. A long-term loan is also available. One local commercial lender expressed interest in the concept business. John has been approached by local investors, who are also interested in the investment opportunity.

  • On April 15, the office will be open for business
  • Be profitable within the first year.
  • Sales above par in the first year
  • After three year operation, add a Go Kart track.
