Concierge Service Business Plan

Concierge Service Business Plan

Introduction

Godsend Concierge Service in Eugene (GCS), a full-service concierge, primarily serving the untapped market for corporate clients. The company can complete almost any task requested by clients. This allows them to spend more time developing their employer’s value. Employers will enjoy our service as an additional compensation tool to attract qualified workers.

The three most important goals for the first three-years are: GCS use in at the least four of the Top 10 Local Companies, and to increase the number of clients we serve by 20% per Year through superior performance or word-of–mouth referrals.

The Company

This business will be home-based with Taylor Gogetter acting as sole proprietor. The GCS staff will include Mr. Gogetter who will work full time. The company intends to hire 3 full time employees by the end of year 1. As this is an industry that demands high quality individuals, GCS intends to offer higher wages to insure quality performance. GCS will provide ongoing training for its employees.

Godsend Concierge Service offers a variety of services to our customers. While the tasks of employees will vary greatly, the core need will be for services/errands to be performed during normal business hours. Employees are not at work all the time, and the company would prefer that the employee is productive, rather than running an error.

The Market

Concierge companies are a way for corporations to compensate their employees for less time. We’ll be targeting Eugene with large corporations like Hyundai and Sony Disc Manufacturing. Medium-sized companies include Burley Design Cooperative and Palo Alto Software. Bike Friday is a larger law firm.

Many corporations already offer a concierge for employees. They usually do this via an in-house employee who takes care of the errands. The concierge service is viewed as a perk by the employee but is not as efficient for the company. GCS can provide concierge service to companies at a cheaper rate.

We also offer services to individuals who feel it is worth having someone else perform tasks that they are not able to do or for whom the cost/benefit analysis has shown them that the task is not worth their time. This market segment will be reached through word-of–mouth advertising.

Two concierge style companies exist in Eugene currently, one primarily serving individuals. GCS will target companies because it has been overlooked and provides more volume and consistent work.

Financial Considerations

Godsend Concierge Service will charge a start-up fee that includes all the equipment required to set up a home-based office, legal fees and website creation. GCS expects to grow at over 100% per annum with strong operating margins. GCS plans to generate $156,000 in sales by 2013. The company plans on billing its clients at an hourly fee.

Objectives

The following are the goals for the first 3 years of operation:

  • To create a service-oriented company whose primary goal to exceed customers&#8217’s expectations.
  • GCS must be used in at most four of the top ten local businesses as listed in the local paper’s annual business listing.
  • We aim to double our clients’ numbers each year by delivering superior service and referring others.
  • To establish a viable home business, you must have enough cash flow to survive.

Mission

The company’s mission statement is to provide legal services to customers. Customers are our goal. This maxim will guide everything else. Our services will surpass the expectations of our clients. We will create an environment where employees can take pride in their work and feel empowered to achieve their full potential.
