Silvera & Sons makes green Arabica coffee beans, grown in Brazil, for export to American specialty brewers. It also sells to Brazilian wholesalers. We plan to increase our production capacity from 72,000/60kg bag per year to 120-160,000/60kg/year. Our coffee is unique amongst the rest. We only roast the top five percentage of Arabica coffee beans on the planet, in terms quality standards. Customers love this product because it allows them to differentiate themselves from specialty roasters. We have had to decline requests for larger quantities of coffee over the past six years because we cannot meet the demand.

We expect growth of 30 percent in the first three years with sales that exceed ($BRL). The plant will be at its maximum capacity in year three and, based on current coffee prices, we expect great profits ($BRL). Positive indicators have been received from importers that this additional quantity of beans will eventually be sold.

Our keys to success include:

  1. Establishing and maintaining working relations and contractual agreements with American importers, Brazilian coffee brokers, and wholesalers.
  2. Bringing the new facility to maximum production within three years of operation.
  3. Increase our profit margin through the use technology that is more advanced in the new facility.
  4. Through targeted communications, we communicate effectively to customers and potential customers our position as a distinguished provider of Arabica beans of the highest quality in the world.

1.1 Objectives

Silvera & Sons’ objectives are:

  • The proposed facility is expected to increase production and sell 78,000/60kg bag per year, and approximately 100,000/60kg bags/year in the first year. It will also be able to reach a maximum capacity of 120,000/60kg bags/year by year three.
  • Ensure that you have a significant increase in sales within the first year.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with 10-10 American importers at Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle.
  • The next three years will see an increase in gross margins.
