Business Analysis Publishing Business Plan

Our Mission. Our mission is to tap into tomorrow’s brightest minds and empower them to explore the trends, thematics, and technological advances among college students to understand how these phenomena relate to the investing dynamics of stock markets.

Description of Business Concept: This program will provide college students with real business experience. We empower them to analyse trends, themes and companies, as well as write about them. The original thoughts and ideas of these business-minded wunderkinds will be available on the Internet at our website: www.thewonderkind.com and in a hard copy newsletter printed quarterly and mailed to subscribers. Our company is an informational publishing house that provides key industry trends to our subscribers. The Wonderkind’s focus allows students to discuss business matters most relevant to them and their Wall Street analyst counterparts–current market and product trends, social issues, and general stock market dynamics–and decipher how these phenomena translate into current investment opportunities. Our analysts do not have to be influenced by the financial relationships that exist between Wall Street investment banks and their clients. The Wonderkind will provide access to its collaborative findings for interested readers throughout America by allowing them to subscribe via the website at a cost of $12.95 per year or $129.95 per month. This flat fee includes unlimited access to our online database, including email interaction with our analysts, as well as our quarterly newsletter, which provides the top articles and analyses in a printed form.

Opportunity & Strategy – The founding partners will depend on their own investment wisdom & perspicacity and that of their network, as well their knowledge of other schools across America to create the initial knowledge. This marketing tool will be used to encourage motivated students from all universities, to submit their investment ideas for publication on The Wonderkind’s website and newsletter. Motivated students will be attracted to this opportunity to get recognition and honor via publication on The Wonderkind’s website and in the quality periodical, without any monetary compensation. Based on the quality and quantity of investment analyses that were submitted, we plan to recruit additional full time writers and provide compensation accordingly. As our subscriber base continues to grow, so will the number and quality of articles submitted by students.

The Wonderkind offers a variety possible methods for recruitment and implementation, including promotion via university newsletters and magazines and official college newsletters; with business and entrepreneurial schools at other schools; and finally, through family and friend networking and support.

Target Market – Subscribers to The Wonderkind are motivated to be exposed to the pulse of college America. The Wonderkind’s target market includes:

  1. Business professionals who enjoy a multitude of information sources.
  2. Students pursuing marketing, finance or business interests in college.

Competitive Advantage – Our competitive advantage is double:

  1. There is currently only one investment publication that taps into collegiate intelligence.
  2. We appeal to motivated college student who is frustrated by the lack of organization and response from large corporations for internship programs.

    • Internships are available both during school year and summer.
    • Students will not have to relocate or arrange lodging because the internship is done electronically.

The Wonderkind’s uniqueness comes from the planned creation of a select group of college students who represent America’s most technologically savvy, and dynamic generation. The college student of today is more highly respected than ever by society and business professionals. Everybody seems to be curious about the pulse of collegiate America because of the incredible success stories shared by college entrepreneurs like Bill Gates, Michael Dell, or Sean Fanning.

Economic Potential. Our five-year forecast models predict over one Million dollars in annual revenues.

Two years from now, additional value-added services or cross marketing initiatives may be accretive for our bottom line.

Risks – While every investment in a start-up company involves a high level of risk, we take every precaution to use any funds that are available prudently and wisely. The Wonderkind, however, is not an Internet business. Our company is an informational publishing house that provides services to customers citing key trends in different industries. We chose to distribute our information via the Internet because it’s the most cost-efficient.
